Access our target beneficiaries

ORFACT reaches out to children who have lost their parents as a result of war, famine, disease or poverty. This includes street children, AIDS orphans, child soldiers and other children with no one else to turn to.
Wherever possible, we try to work with children and their families in the community. We believe the family structure can never be fully substituted by an establishment. Our Orphan Centres house orphaned and abandoned children as a last resort. This is usually after all attempts at finding any remaining members of the child's family and relatives fail. In war-stricken areas such as Iraq, where the demand is high, it is at times the only way to give children the practical and emotional support they need to overcome disadvantage.
Our expertise and experience allows us to carry out our activities with a higher chance of success. Development projects are only really successful if they prove to be economically efficient and if they leave lasting changes on their beneficiaries.
We have always aimed to place priority with those most in need of help; our projects have therefore reflected the economic and social changes and developments of both here in the UK and abroad. Our work in general focuses on orphans and underprivileged youth. They are still the most vulnerable group having been offered little or no Governmental support at all.
