Skills Training

Many of these workshops have been established near the refugee camps where there are thousands of orphaned families, and a few others have been set up in poverty-stricken areas to encourage employment.  

Tailoring:

For many Families who have lost their main bread winner, this scheme can effectively put them back on the road to financial recovery. It has empowered many widows to regain control of their lives by becoming self-earning with the ability to support themselves and their dependants.

  1. Facilitates on-the-job training for older youths to help ease them into employment

  2. their work has also helped to provide many orphans with clothes free of charge, and at a lost cost price to adults who are in need

  3. Trading the extra produce helps generate funds to sustain the scheme.

 

Carpentry:

A Key benefit of this workshop could be the wide range of items produced to order, being affordable and beneficial to the local people. This has proved to be a successful project through which youths can work and become independent.

  1. Training older orphaned youth; preparing them for future employment.

  2. Providing local people access to affordable locally made furniture.

  3. By localizing production and distribution, this project helps reduce reliance on imported products to contribute towards economic stability.
