Education and Training
We have implemented tailoring and carpentry workshops to empower those who have lost their livelihoods as a result of various catastrophes. These workshops help families who have lost their main breadwinner, effectively putting them back on the road towards financial recovery. Many widowers have regained control of their lives by becoming financially independent, and teenagers have successfully used these workshops to ease themselves into employment.
Those who are a part of these training sessions have felt a great sense of independence, earning an income from sales of their items so reducing their reliance on governmental and international aid. Further, localised production and stabilisation limits the dependence on imported products and thus contributes towards economic stability
