ORFACT - Love in the Box
ORFACT Love in the Box 2010 September – December 2010 Every Christmas, we work with local schools to encourage pupils to send a Christmas wish and message of hope to some of the poorest children in the world. Shoeboxes are filled with a variety of gifts, and are sent to children in some of the most disadvantaged countries in the world, such as Bosnia, Albania and Iraq. For children who are in the most tragic circumstances, receiving one of these boxes is a sign of love and optimism. The ORFACT Love in a Box Appeal sends shoeboxes filled with toys and gifts to poor children, who would otherwise receive nothing during Christmas. Many of these children have no families or possessions of their own. The shoeboxes we send carry much more than toys and gifts, in them children find love, hope and happiness. We deliver the gifts to children in hospitals, orphanages, refugee camps, and impoverished communities across the globe. The impact a shoebox can have is truly amazing – it helps brighten up the difficult lives of children by bringing hope and making them feel special. Story of a child who received one of these boxes Thank you for Taking part in This Appeal and For making Christmas a truly Magical time for Children all over The world. |
