• The Global Peace and Unity Event is always a fantastic weekend for ORFACT. The ORFACT team does incredibly well not just in collecting money, but also in helping to raise awareness of the plight of orphans worldwide.

• The Love in a Box Appeal is held annually in the run-up to Christmas. It is aimed at encouraging local schools to donate shoeboxes filled with toys and gifts that can then be sent to orphans across the world

  Al-Zara Orphanage

• The Dar al-Zara orphanage was opened in Basra, the first of its kind in the whole of Iraq. The orphanage accepts all children who have lost their parents, or whose mother can no longer provide financial and emotional care for them. It has grown strength to strength, and now houses for over 200 orphans, who are provided with food, clothing, and education. All children are housed in a safe, loving environment and given emotional stability to ensure they grow-up to be integrated, supportive members of their community.

  Al-Zara Orphanage Workshops

• Orfact’s role in skills training is about providing the equipment, materials and trainers required for a specific trade. Upon successful completion of a course Orfact, will often help and provide small interest-free loans or grants to help the business start-up By providing people with the skills to help them help themselves, Orfact is working to create self-sufficiency amongst the poorer members of the community.

• Orphans Artwork were made in our orphanage in IRAQ, it is some unique artwork from some of the children to their sponsors. And all the works present in the orphanage gallery.

  Al-Zara Orphanage Education Centre

• Education holds the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. It is essential to build a firm foundation on which an individual can build a secure future. Our education projects now cover a wide variety of approaches to education, including traditional schooling methods as well as specialised vocational training

  IslamExpo

• IslamExpo is a non-profit organisation based in the United Kingdom dedicated to enhancing understanding of Islam in Britain and building bridges between the Muslim world and the West.IslamExpo aims to Introduce the British public to Islam as a global culture and faith that spans continents, races and languages.

• The Brent into Volunteering and Employment Project (BIVEP) Award Ceremony at Brent Town Hall on Wednesday 15th December, 2010. The Awards is presented by the Mayor of Brent Cllr. Harbhajan Singh.

  Al-Zara Orphanage Nursery

• ORFACT has raised funds to build a classroom and establish a Dar Al-Zahra Nursery for orphans and street children who also live in our orphanage (Dar Al-Zahra) attached to our school and the orphanage in Iraq, Basra City.

• The orphanage provides a secure environment and education for 70 children. The school also provides an education to a further 180 local children.
